WIN WIN, The Brooklyn-based trio of producer/DJ's Alex “XXXchange” Epton (Spank Rock), Chris Devlin (Devlin & Darko), and video collagist Ghostdad, played in Los Angeles, CA as part of the monthly Check Yo' Ponytail party at The Echoplex on Thursday September 15, 2011. 

The trio showcased music from their self-titled debut album (released earlier this year through Vice Records) and featuring guest vocals from artists as diverse as Gang Gang Dance's Liz Bougastos, Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor, and Spank Rock's Naeem to flesh out their signature electro sound. Somewhat ironically. that debut is a concept album about how staring into electronic screens all day is beginning to isolate all of us from one another. At least on this occasion, all that screen staring was done by three human being working together to move a crowd of other human beings who have left the isolation of their own solitary existances to mingle in public. And maybe even enjoy a tasty beverage or two with some new found friends... 

In any case, a good time was had by all, and it is perhaps a good time that we might dare to suggest can be continued on your own by grabbing WIN WIN’s album from an online store right now, or even by making another sortie out into the world to pick up a copy from an actual real live record store in your hometown…
