The Vans Warped Tour has been blazing its trail across the summer cities of the USA since 1994. Bringing the best of each year's Punk, Power-Pop, Ska, Reggae, and Metalcore, the tour is now established as a summer tradition for a certain type of music fan.
The 2011 line-up listed no less than 114 bands on 10 traveling stages, visiting over 40 cities. The statistics are insane. To try to capture it all would be madness. Buzzine caught up with the tour in Denver, Colorado to represent just a glimpse of all there was to offer.
Gym Class Heroes tore it up for fans, with bounce-along versions of "Take a Look at my Girlfriend" and the Travie McCoy & Bruno Mars hit "Billionaire."
D.R.U.G.S. ripped into the heat of the day, sharing loud and not-so-shameful "If You Think this Song is About You" and their "Sex Life" with everyone.
Later in the day, Lucero showed why they keep the Alt-Country fans coming back, taking requests from the crowd, turning in spontaneous sing-alongs of "She's Just that Kind of Girl" and "Sad and Lonely."
