On Wednesday, December 7, 2011, the director and musical minds behind The Re:Generation Music Project gathered to preview and discuss the movie (in a live streaming Q&A with KCRW's Jason Bentley) and unveil its unique musical collaborations within a star-studded night featuring The Crystal Method, Erykah Badu, DJ Premier, and a storming closing set from the Grammy man-of-the-moment, Skrillex.

The documentary movie, directed by Amir Bar-Lev (My Kid Could Paint That, The Tillman Story), takes an unusual spin on musical history, as leading modern DJ/producers Skrillex, Mark Ronson, DJ Premier, Pretty LIghts, and The Crystal Method journey to build a creative bridge with collaborators ranging from country legends to soul icons to classical composers and Dixie jazz stars. With a line-up of world-famous vocalists including Erykah Badu, Mos Def, Nas, LeAnn Rimes, Martha Reeves, and members of The Doors, The Re:Generation Music Project twists together tunes, genres, and the places where music lives to create a unique way to allow the musical past to move into the future.

Greenlight Media's 'The Re:Generation Music Project,' presented by Hyundai Veloster, will be released in February 2012.
