Live in Concert at The Echo in Los Angeles, CA 10/06/11 (Culture Collide 2011)

On Thursday, October 6, 2011 at The Echo in Los Angeles, CA, Liam Finn played a live show as part of the 2011 Culture Collide Music Festival. The second edition of the now annual shindig ran around the Echo Park neighborhood from October 5th - 9th showcasing more than 75 artists from around the US and beyond, with international acts hailing from as close as Canada and Mexico and as far as Iceland and Australia...

Having established his unique approach to songwriting with debut album I'll Be Lightning, the New Zealand native is currently touring his sophomore studio album, FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). A multi-instrumentalist with a sense of lyrical exploration, Finn is an artist who teases expectation in songwriting, live shows or, most recently, in super-cool new videos for "Cold Feet" and "Jump Your Bones".

Whether playing all instruments treated through effect-pedals and looped delays, or joined by his merry band, The Come Agains, Liam Finn knows how to disarm an audience. A singer-songwriter who tempers heartbreak with humor and the lighter subjects with depth, here is a unique and unforced style. From breathtakingly beautiful tracks like “Gather to the Chapel” or rockier moments like “Roll Your Bones,” there's an openness of spirit and a sense of inclusion about each show.
