MUSIC GALLERY: THE FLAMING LIPS

Live In Concert at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood, CA on 06/14/11

On Tuesday, June 14, 2011, The Flaming Lips played to a packed house at the famous Hollywood Forever cemetery in Hollywood, California. Lead singer Wayne Coyne was accompanied by bass player Michael Ivins, alongside Steven Drozd, Kliph Scurlock, and Derek Brown and a pair of giant hands, an amazing light show and, of course, the world's most famous human-sized hamster ball. The concert saw The Lips showcase their 1999 album The Soft Bulletin and its beloved hit singles "Race for the Prize" and "Waitin' for a Superman" before an encore that featured a quick run through other classics from their catalogue, including crowd favorites "Do You Realize" and "She Don't Use Jelly."

And for the truly hardcore a few hours later, there was even a 'secret' sunrise show when the Flaming Lips were joined by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros...but if you were still asleep, you can see that in all its early-morning glory over here...
