On Saturday, August 20, 2011, Rock the Bells Festival Series landed in Los Angeles, California.

 

As part of the Classic Albums from Classic Artists strand, Common played one of his Grammy Award-winning albums, Be, in its entirety. Listening beyond hit singles "The Corner," "Go," and "Testify," the set showed exactly why the rapper won Best Lyricist of the Year (2006) at the BET Awards.  This was sure stuff, perfect rhymes, and genuinely a classic performance.
